NSMS is pleased to welcome Ms. Savannah Royston to the faculty for the 2023-2024 school year!
Ms. Royston writes, "I'm excited to be joining the faculty at the New School for Music Study! I am looking forward to meeting my new students and helping them along their journey to become both excellent musicians as well as excellent people. I cannot wait to see all of the progress each student will make during this new year."
Originally from East Tennessee, Ms. Royston began studying piano with her grandmother when she was only six years old. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Master of Music in May 2023 and a Bachelor of Music from Lipscomb University in 2021. Her former teachers include Paul Barnes, Jerome Reed, and Elisabeth Pridonoff. As a piano teacher herself, Savannah is honored and excited to have the opportunity to mentor her students on their journey to become excellent musicians. Beyond teaching piano, Savannah has extensive experience working in arts administration and is currently the grant writer for composer Victoria Bond.
